Let's Catch Up!

Let's see...my last post was in the middle of December!  A lot has happened over here since then and I'm going to try giving a brief run down but if you just here for the pretty pictures I won't feel bad if you just skip to the end.
  • Back at the beginning of December we learned that the husband job is going to have us trading one coast for another. He is taking an instructor position in Virginia that he's very excited about.
  • My parent's came up for Christmas and even though we all got sick it was so nice to have them here!
  • This winter has been very mild, with very little snow.  After our biggest snow storm we went snowshoeing.
  • I participated in a couple of great swap, receiving a few incredible gifts and sending off things I really wanted to keep!
  • The house went on the market and we excepted an offer 13 days later.  We leave Kodiak in two months.
  • I got a couple of long time WIP quilts basted and hopefully in the next couple of weeks I can get them quilted.
  • My #igtqb quilt was highlighted on Quilt Story and has now been mailed off to Christina over at Sometimes Crafter, so she can work her magic on it.
  • There a have been a few purchases of incredible fabric...shhh...don't the the husband!
  • I've been trying to bust through some of my stash...making summer clothes for the kids and 17 small Dr. Suess book bags for my daughter's Kindergarten class.
  • I've proofed a couple of patterns for a talent designer.
  • And finished handquilting my pixel heart that I started in January 2013 and it now hangs in our stairwell where I can enjoy it.

I'm linking this post up with Cindy over at Live a Colorful Life for her Really Random Thursday post.

  1. From Alaska to Virginia is quite a change! Where in Virginia? You've been very busy! Hope all goes well with the move, and you still find some time for stitching.
