Feathers

Recently I had the opportunity to help Christina, The Sometimes Crafter, with her latest pattern.  The Feathers in the Wind Quilt pattern is simple and elegant. It would be great for so many occasions.  I also love that she created a stand alone foundation paper pieced (FPP) pattern for the feathers.  There are even two versions of the feather!

When I was working with the pattern I tested out the more complicated feather and honestly it took me less than an hour to put it together.  All of the fabrics I chose came from my scrap bin. I didn't set out with a particular color pallet in mind, it just came together as I was digging around.  I honest can't wait for a few minutes to make a couple more!

If you are interested in purchasing a copy it is available as a PDF in her Etsy shop or her website.  Some knowledge of paper piecing is necessary but there are lots of tutorials available.
