As Christmas approached this year, I was determined not to let it go another Christmas without cuddling. So I ripped out my first attempted at quilting and wrestled it through my little machine. I spent a few days sewing on the binding and we have been enjoying it since.
The fabric is Count Down to Christmas by Sweetwater. I used a layer cake for the top and 4 one yard cuts for the back. I used the Posie Patch pattern is from Amy Ellis' first book Modern Basics, although I inadvertently set my squared the wrong way. Oh well, I like the diagonals this setting created. To create the snowflakes I starched the fabric and then folded it just like you would to make paper snowflakes. I stitched them on to the circles before attaching them to the quilt.
Just a couple of pictures that show off how I quilted it.
